Apartment Fire - Treetop Drive

Units were dispatched around 0745 hours this morning for a reported apartment fire in 12300 block of Treetop Drive. Truck 715 was enroute to the training academy at the time of the alarm. Engine 715 and Rescue Squad 715 arrived on the scene to find smoke showing from a four story garden apartment building. Units arriving in the rear of the building reported fire showing from the second floor with at least one occupant trapped on the upper floors. The fire was extending to the third floor. Engine 715 advanced a line to the fire floor while the Rescue Squad initiated search operations. The fire was confined to the areas involved upon arrival, one occupant was removed over portable ladders from the fourth floor and subsequent searches were completed with negative results. A second alarm and RID was requested. Ladders shown in the pictures were placed by Truck 712 and Tower 719.
