Morning Townhouse Fire

June 23, 2005

Just after 6AM a box alarm was sounded for a Townhouse Fire in the unit block of Featherwood Street. Engine 151 arrived on the scene and reported fire showing from the first floor, Side Alpha and it was evident the fire was already extending into the second floor and the attic.

As they advanced the initial attack line it also became evident the fire had originated in the basement. Command directed E412 to outside basement entrance on the Charlie Side while E151 maintained their position on the first floor. A coordinated fire attack ensued on all three floors and the bulk of the fire was knocked down in short order. Primary and secondary searches were conducted with negative results. There was no significant extension to the attached exposures. Units operated on this incident for about three hours.
