Well Involved Townhouse Fire

May 19, 2005

Engine 151 was dispatched on the Box Alarm for a report of townhouse fire in the 14200 Oxford Drive in Laurel Lake. Laurel Engine 102 arrived on the scene reporting fire showing from the second floor. The fire quickly extended to the attic and through the roof. A second alarm was requested due to heavy fire conditions in the structure and was threatening the attached exposures. An aggressive firefighting operation initiated by Company 10 brought the fire under control quickly and prevented any significant extension to the exposures. A second alarm was requested. The fire was extinguished in less than 30 minutes with crews remaining on the scene for some time for overhaul.
