At around 1930 hours, High Rise Box 18-6 was sounded for 2300 Glenallen Avenue. Units arrived on the scene with fire visible from an apartment on the second floor of this residential high rise. A second alarm was requested immediately. This brought Truck 15 to the scene as the first due truck on the second alarm. The crew of the truck was soon assigned to the Ventilation Group which was under the command of Battalion Chief 1 (Korenblatt). Truck 15 operated on the scene for about thirty minutes before being cleared by command to return in service.
