Burtonsville units were dispatched first due for smoke coming from the apartment building in the 3100 block of Quartet Lane. Engine 151 arrived on the scene with heavy smoke showing from the first floor of a three story apartment building. As Engine 151 was advancing their initial attack line and Truck 15 was opening up, Rescue Squad 15 was initiating their primary search of the fire floor and the floors above. Rescue Squad 15 located an unconcious adult male in the fire apartment and removed same. The victim was turned over to the medic crew and was subsequently transported to a local trauma center. The fire was knocked quickly and was confined to the apartment of origin. Secondary searches were completed of the fire floor and the floors above with negative results.

Eighteen personnel from Company 15 operated at this incident and remained on the scene for about three hours.
